There's this notion that Ridge always chooses Brooke but that's patently false. I don't even have to go back to the 90s to disprove that. Back in 2015, Brooke threw herself at Ridge but he told her to go pound sand because he wanted to be with Caroline, whom he eventually married. At no point did he leave Caroline for Brooke. Their marriage was unfortunately over before Ridge fell back into his old pattern. Point is, he can and has chosen women over Brooke.

You mean when Brooke returned from Italy, found out about Ridge and Caroline, wanted Caroline and Rick to reunite, asked Ridge over to her house and said let's get back together in the hopes of protecting her son? Ridge said no and that was that. That's throwing herself at Ridge? A five minute exchange? She didn't even really want him back.
