Is Hope Really Gaslighting Liam?
Even when she does accept her own feelings, I don't think she wants to leave Liam for Thomas. In my opinion she isn't in love with Thomas, right now she is in lust and attracted due to all the time they spend together and Thomas now being an empathetic ear who praises her all the time.
I don't think it has even gotten that far in her mind about what these feelings may mean for her overall life because she doesn't think she will ever act on her feelings.
As you said, the decision will be taken out of her hands and she will be devastated.
What she should have done is cut down time with Thomas and sought therapy - but it's a soap so here we go.
While I do like Thomas/Hope, I do have sympathy for Liam here - he KNOWS something is wrong but he just can't put his finger on it. He isn't the bad guy here.
