I think you bring up a good point. I don't think she has accepted that she has feelings for Thomas at ALL even though she is actively having fantasies, she was uncomfortable even admitting that she felt "something" to her mother. She is a married woman with kids who holds herself to a high moral standard. That's why she is so disturbed by all this because she does love Liam and their life. She doesn't want these feelings and thinks she is in control because she would never do that. I do believe she loves her husband and doesn't want to destroy her life. Liam has generally been her end all be all and now she's really drawn to the wrong man. She hasn't actually acted on those feelings so to me she hasn't actually done anything, yes she is emotionally intertwined with Thomas, but it's a one-sided entanglement since Thomas is oblivious even though he is a full participant.

At the same time, she doesn't want to give up Thomas, as his face gets more revealed in the fantasy - I think this symbolizes her own acceptance of whats happening with her.

As someone said, she's gaslighting herself. She fighting with herself and currently losing...

All of this can be true, and at the same time she is gaslighting her husband to avoid telling him the truth about her feelings. Yes, you can keep your feelings to yourself. However, when your husband point blank asks you what's your feelings are, and you deflect, making him feel like no his feelings for the man are the problem, now you're into gaslighting territory. Liam is turning himself inside out trying to figure out what the problem is and she is busy telling him he's the problem for not supporting her career, he's the problem for not seeing the change in thomas, he's the problem for wanting Thomas gone. However, no. The problem is she's having sexual fantasies about thomas. And that is the reason she's gaslighting because she's making Liam feel like it's everything but her.
