That is what I think...... To me it kinda feels like Hope has Stockholms Syndrome after having to deal with Thomas gaslighting her over Beth and his constant chasing her. In Stockholm's Syndrome, the victim starts to identify with their "captor" or "abuser". In psychology a person does not have to be kidnapped to develop SS towards their abusers, it could happen in the case of any type of abuse. In cases of sexual abuse, sometimes the victims feel a connection with their abuser. The professionals have labeled this kind of connection Stockholm's Syndrome.
