The man had lost ability to draw. That was a major deal. Caroline helped regain it. It didn't start off as something dirty. It was an act of kindness on Caroline's part. It did blossom into something else and Rick got hurt. Once Ridge and Caroline got together it was good. What Thomas did was a crime. Caroline had made it clear she didn't want him. She was completely out of it and unable to consent yet he crawled into bed with her. The point was there was no question that Caridge loved each other and wasn't trying to live up to an outside expectation

His lost ability to draw did not give him some magic right to move in on his little brothers wife. That made their whole relationship, dirty. If he and Caroline had fallen in love first, then maybe, but Ridge set out to use her to get to Rick, and even said it. I don't think what Tom did was a crime and it was completely different than Ridge raping Brooke. Caroline GAVE Tom her location at a hotel. Caroline did not tell him she was high on pills. Caroline did not ask him to leave, and think he did leave. Caroline drank with him willingly. She had her eyes open and kissed him back. She did not say no, and he had no idea she had taken Xanax or whatever. Brooke was in her own home and told Ridge to leave. She thought he had left. She was unconscious when he came upstairs, took off his clothes and got in bed with her. No one was drinking. She came around a little and said "Ridge, what are you doing" in a groggy voice, and he said "relax Logan" and then she says the word "no" and passes out. Not saying Caroline wasn't impaired, she was, but so was Tom, and they drank mutually together. A man or woman cannot cry foul, when no one told anyone to leave, and both get drunk together and have sex. In that vain, couldn't Tom say Caroline took advantage of him in his impaired state, too?
