It's a rewrite when Ridge says he knew Brooke was the one since the first time she laid eyes on him. It's a big fat lie. Ridge didn't even like Brooke at the beginning, she meant no more than Alex Simpson or Margo Linlay. She and Thorne were the obstacles, the rebounds, the interlopers, call it how you want. The minute Caroline was free again he coudln't dump Brooke fast enough. Taylor and Brooke never existed until Caroline died.

Not true. You can to to Youtube and watch the show where they met. They are smitten with each other. Brooke is in awe of him, he mistakes her for Caroline from behind, she turns and he is smitten. That is why he could never get her out of his blood. Caroline knew it too. So did Taylor. So did Ashley when they were engaged. It was always been Brooke for Ridge from the day they met. He was just to weak to fight his mother all those years, so he kept giving in to her wishes. She wanted him with Caroline. So, he was doing as he was told. And Caroline was a challenge because Bill Spencer hated him. He did love Caroline, but I even think he loved Taylor more than Caroline.

Yep, and it was written that way to spite Stephanie for what she did to Beth. I wholeheartedly believe that Brooke was Stephanie's Karma for that. The Forresters and Logans have always been destiny.
