Why I think Liam doesn't care about Steffy's past cheating

I think though Hope probably never should have been put on a pedestal by Liam because she is just human too on the other hand she is not malicious and evil as you describe her.
We watched her having feelings she didn´t understand, we watched her trying to fight them.
She didn´t think about punishing Liam for his waffling consciously, I think it was rather unconsciously that this happened.
She would have liked to let the kiss stay in Rome if it had been possible, she didn´t want Liam to see it, but as Liam was watching it the drama unfolded.
This was not some devilish plan by Hope but just probably being not really happy in her marriage for some time.
She better should have talked to Liam about it before Rome happened, but she thought she had it all under control.

I am not disputing what you are saying....but people should not be excused for the harm they have done....because they were confused. Liam knew what he was doing bedding Steffy the night of the ONS...if Hope had told the truth that she could not get past it, none of this now would be happening and he would have deserved to be divorced. Instead she took 3.5 months to decide and then "forgave" him because of the Vinny situation. But in truth, as she admitted herself, she never really forgave him, it was just her trying to forgive him and always waiting for him to do it again. Hope didn't even want to give Liam the same grace he gave her, when he hung in there trying to get her to forgive him....she gave it 2 days and then was off banging Tom. Liam is right and Hope knows it, she could not forgive him and "tried" to forgive without ever telling him she was struggling. He is more honest than her, he told her straight out....he cannot forgive her spitting in their child's face....and what is the point when they are going to end up right back in the same place in a year or two. He is right. It was time to end the marriage. But, her going to Thomas in any way forward is not acceptable, because Thomas did harm their child, and Thomas harmed his own child, and Thomas harmed Hope and he has a criminal background going back years. Thomas is not safe and he has had mental issues for years...and he will again. Unless they tell us he is now in deep therapy....and we know he is not...because the first thing a REAL therapist would tell him is, to not get involved with the woman and child he harmed while in dissociative state.

And yet, we have Liam now, finally admitting that Hope was right about him. Finally admitting that, yes, he does have a divided heart and that it is not going to change.
