Why I think Liam doesn't care about Steffy's past cheating

There is no way in hell any man would consider his wife kissing some guy that he hates as being more disgusting than his wife sleeping with his own dad. Liam is now acting like he is trying to rescue his fragile ego from being completely destroyed. He isn't able to accept that Hope has a divided heart because that's something only he can have. If now he would make Steffy leave her amazing, loving and handsome husband for him his ego would be rescued. Also Steffy wanted him back desperately after her ONS with Bill while Hope isn't exactly acting like she's desperate. Liam always thought that he deserved a woman to be his doormat. Poor Liam... It looks like it won't be happening for him anytime soon or ever.

I don't think it has anything to do with a divided heart. I think Liam has gotten past it with Steffy for a few reasons. He did not see it happen with his own eyes. Steffy was not gaslighting him for months before it happened and lying to him. Steffy did not come back into his life at his lowest point and promise him she was nothing like his cheating wife, then turn out to BE like his cheating wife. Steffy never laid in his arms naked thinking about having sex with another man to the point, she had to jump up, get dressed and rush out of the house. And, Liam may not have known then what was going on with Hope, but he knows now. And most important and to me the top reason....the man Steffy cheated with never once wanted his child to be dead forever. Anyway, I think Liam is so betrayed by Hope and cannot forgive her because she may not have planned to have weird feelings about Tom, but when she began having them, she began acting with malice intent toward Liam. Steffy never hurt him purposefully. Liam pegged it perfectly on Thursday, she never forgave him for the ONS, she just let it fester, then she decided to punish Liam.

What I'm wondering is...how can the staged kiss be explained? There was a manipulation that was involved but the manipulation wouldn't have worked unless Liam had responded to it the way that Thomas and Steffy hoped he would. And he did. And unlike the ONS, he didn't kiss Steffy because he thought Hope cheated on him. He kissed her because he had feelings for her. He had feelings for Hope's bully. I mean, here she was, setting Hope and Liam up so they would break up and she could have Liam for herself, and he has feelings for her. This is what Hope had to live with, throughout their marriage.

The kiss was staged by Steffy and Thomas, but Liam's betrayal was real once more... He kissed Steffy back. Hope forgave him because she was so angry at Thomas and Steffy for lying that she lied to herself that their actions somehow erase what Liam did... Again.

Exactly. Steffy's cruelty to Hope doesn't rise to the level of what Thomas did. But she is to Hope what Thomas is to Liam. Liam cheated on Hope, over and over and over, with her bully. The person who virgin shamed her, manipulated her, and mocked her for taking anxiety medication.
