why does brooke need to explain to hope?

To me, Hope saw that her mother was totally fine with the idea of monster Thomas coming back..so this played a big role in her decision making seeing her mother wasn't objecting it. Plus, this time everyone knew that Thomas was actually seeing a therapist NOT Taylor. Of course, the decision is on Hope, but her mother being okay with the idea bothers me..how can Brooke go along with snake Taylor knowing Thomas just destroyed her marriage?!

Brooke wasn't totally fine with the idea. She may not have objected it, but she wasn't on board with it either and did express her reservations. She made it clear that if it was up to herself, she would prefer Thomas to stay as far away from Hope as possible. She just didn't want to be the one to put the final nail in HFTF's coffin, since she knows how much that line means to her daughter. That's why she left the decision entirely up to Hope herself, telling her she was willing to tolerate Thomas' presence at FC if Hope decided to forgive him. She even told Thomas that she would never forgive him herself.
