why does brooke need to explain to hope?

To me Brooke was taking her daughter's word that she could handle working with him again....unfortunately hope has bought all her problems this time around on her self...she should had called steffy bluff then sued them for an unsafe work environment...there's no way any of this should be placed on Brooke no matter who she is friends with...Brooke has never been able to talk hope out of anything regarding Thomas and Douglas

To me, Hope saw that her mother was totally fine with the idea of monster Thomas coming back..so this played a big role in her decision making seeing her mother wasn't objecting it. Plus, this time everyone knew that Thomas was actually seeing a therapist NOT Taylor. Of course, the decision is on Hope, but her mother being okay with the idea bothers me..how can Brooke go along with snake Taylor knowing Thomas just destroyed her marriage?!
