why does brooke need to explain to hope?

It plays right into Steffy;s unfounded accusations. Hope has a history of words triggering her over the years. She almost got raped because she ran off after hearing a private conversation between Bridge after Taylor tried to get rid of Hope. She ended up hearing that "she was the stain on the family name".. We had all those years of Steffy virgin shaming her and putting Hope down for her morals. Now we have the "Bad Boys" comment that Brooke innocently said to her.

And snake Steffy's accusation was all based on Paris' lie anyway..Steffy doesn't even know that whole conversation was INITIATED by stupid Paris who went on and on and on about how hot Thomas is, NOT Hope. Hope only agreed with her just to shut her up. Not to mention, motormouth Paris never told Thomas or Steffy that Hope actually said that she thinks HER HUSBAND Liam is the hottest guy in the world.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
