I think down deep there’s more to Thomas’ obsession with Hope than Hope herself.

I think part of him as Steffy’s big brother wants to secure Liam for Steffy.

Down deep I think Thomas knows that while Steffy may love Finn, he wasn’t her first choice and I think he wants Steffy to have that. I think he’d turn on Finn in a heartbeat if Steffy could have Liam back because it would certainly benefit Thomas’ own obsession with owning Hope but also I think Thomas believes it’s Steffy’s true desire.

This is why Thope would never work, because Thomas is never going to really love or accept Beth. His dream was for Beth to be raised by someone else or to be deceased. He also hates Beth because she’s a Logan.

That connection of Lope will always bother him and how can Hope be in love with a man that will always resent her daughter?

Sorry but for me it's difficult to believe Thomas cares about anyone but himself!!! He has already proved how much he cared about his sister when he made her pain (over losing Beth) ten times worse. He wasn't there to comfort her when she had to give Beth back. When Steffy was trying to prove Sheila was still dangerous, Thomas didn't reveal what he knew. Even when he thought Finn was dead and Steffy was in a coma, he didn't reveal the truth about Sheila. I'm sure there are other examples like these. Everything he does is self-serving. His obsession with Hope isn't about Douglas, Steffy, Finn or Liam. It's all about what HE wants!!! :grrr

I don't think he loves or hates Beth. He didn't want Hope to know she was alive because he knew she would go back to Liam. Now that Hope got Beth back, he doesn't care about this baby anymore.
