I don’t want or need to believe Steffy wants Liam. But the show’s evidence makes me feel she does.

She said she chose herself but she slept with Liam when Thomas drugged Liam.

She participated in the staged kiss, I don’t know why she would have done that if she didn’t want Liam.

She kept the portrait up even after dating Finn and told Liam that she gazed at it every night and thought of what could be.

She had sex with Liam after dating Finn and she said in a pouty way “so you’re staying with Hope”, as if she had hoped otherwise.

Yes I do believe Liam chose Hope because he could have had Steffy when Hope was pushing him to be with her, when Hope married Thomas, after the staged kiss. He called Hope after the night of drugged sex. He proposed to Hope in front of Steffy and the portrait after the staged kiss. That was Liam’s decision. I think Steffy made it clear she was open to reuniting with him and Liam kept pursuing Hope even when Hope was trying to let Liam go back with Steffy.

Maybe Steffy has lost those feelings for Liam and really did fall in love with Finn, that’s what the show is saying but why I am not convinced is because of her lasting resentment for Hope. She should be thankful that Hope got Liam off her hands since she has a happy life with Finn and wouldn’t if she was still with Liam.
