Thomas and Hope have shared custody of Douglas. That means they're supposed to be splitting time equal yet Liam and Brooke don't seem to understand that concept. They act like Thomas only has supervised visitation. They both keep referring to Brooke's cabin as his home but in reality he's got two homes and Hope can't monopolize him.

The writers have not made clear exactly what the terms of the custody agreement are. We don't know what the arrangement is supposed to be. We just know that Thomas said he was taking him for one night and that has turned into weeks.

It sounds to me like Hope could challenge that in court but she doesn't want to because that would be bad for Douglas.
