What’s going to be the big letdown for Steffy and Thomas

All this Forrester huffing and puffing can’t go on. Something is going to happen. I suspect a few possibilities. Taylor’s halo will crack in an unsuspecting way. Steffy over focus on her parents reunion leaves Hayes vulnerable. Thomas and the family will learn that Hope is not just a nurse maid to Douglas and that he really really loves his family with Hope, Liam and Beth. They can’t be so dismissive of them. What’s your guess?

I dont see Taylor and Steffy as dismissive of Douglas' relationship with his mother. They just want Douglas to have the same opportunity to build the same type of relationship with his father.

I disagree. They want him to live full time with Thomas. None of them have even suggested any kind of compromise. It's all or nothing. That's dismissive of Hope's role in Douglas's life.

Yes, they want him to live full time with Thomas to build the trust with Douglas for him to know that he can count on his Dad as a parent. That is how Hope and Douglas nurtured their bond. Why is it so outlandish for Thomas to do the same? Hope hasn't suggested a compromise either. She is being dismissive of Thomas' role as well.

If Hope was being dismissive then this one night sleepover wouldn't have turned into a week or so.

Credit where credit is due. She has been supportive of Douglas spending this time with Thomas. I've been impressed with her standing up to both Brooke and Liam. But she still feels that Douglas needs to live with her fulltime because he is happy and stable. As if he could not have that with Thomas. She feels that Thomas is fine as a part time dad but the full time father role should be filled by Liam.

Hope didn't say those last two sentences. I personally have not heard her mention Liam in the fatherly role to Douglas. Maybe I missed that. What I've heard is her say she does so want Douglas and Thomas to have that relationship but this uprooting him abruptly is not a good idea. Yeah, she wants him to live with her, just like Kelly lives with Steffy. I see no problem.

No she never said those exact words. That is how I feel based on her actions and what she has said. Which is Douglas' home is here with me Beth and Liam. Which makes Liam the full time father figure and Thomas the weekend part-time visitation dad.

I don't see actions to support her being controlling. The fact that Douglas is still at the mansion belies it. I don't agree that someone is a part-time father if they have and are using joint custody appropriately. It's Thomas' fault if he isn't. And since he isn't, it's a good thing Liam is there to step up. If Liam was in truth the full-time father, he should have walked out of the mansion with Douglas, but he didn't, so I disagree.

I don't see that this arrangement makes Thomas anymore of a part-time father than Liam is a part-time father to Kelly. Nor do I see it making Finn Kelly's full-time father, so I have to agree to disagree, Rena.
