Right Conversation, Wrong Mindset

Thope had the conversation they been needing to have today but Thomas walked in with absolutely the wrong mindset. He was convinced by his sister that he was 100% right and Hope was 100% wrong, that turning down his proposal was rejecting him, that she didn't love him enough to marry him ever. He came in already intending to break up instead of have a dialogue with Hope. If he'd had someone who really cared about him in his ear instead of Steffy, they would've told him that Hope loved him, to have this conversation with Hope and hear her out. If you've already got your mind made up that things are a certain way you're not listening to the person trying to talk to you.

Thomas seemed clear-headed. He seemed to understand what people had been saying all along. Thomas has mental health issues. And Hope is a trigger. Hope is unable to give him what he needs in a partner right now, and he needs to walk away before this situation spirals. Thomas made the right decision for himself today. It felt very grown up and rational. This wasn't about Steffy. His mind was made up because he was seeing things clearly. He looked back on the past few months with wide-open eyes.
