How does Thomas mislead Hope by wanting more? She knew it all along.
If she's not on the same page /which is ok/ she shouldn't have accept his ring as a necklace, or in any other way.
It couldn't be more simple.
Yet Hope wanted to have the cake and eat it too.

Yet Thomas ALSO told Thomas all along that she was not ready for that commitment, so she was honest. It couldn't be more simple. Thomas claimed to be okay with it, but now he isn't. His choice. And her choice after his ultimatum (and yes, when he said it was a make or break moment for them, he was giving an ultimatum), she said no.
