Perhaps Hope wants a modern relationship. She doesn’t need a husband. if that’s true can Thomas accept that? Why is he in such a rush to be married? He’s been desperate for this marriage for years but Hope isn’t desperate. She’s not looking for a knight in shining armor.

I think you are right. Hope has either been married, in a relationship or fighting for a relationship with Liam most of her adult life. Hope may be wanting to take a little break to figure out what she really wants. I just wish she wouldn't have gotten involved with Thomas the way that she did.

Hope had years living in Milan on her own to figure out who she was and what she wanted.

Yup....and she told Liam she dated, and there was someone for awhile, but she just could not commit, because she thought of him.

And it's funny Thomas is now acting like Hope gaslighted him with the ring! Lol
