Perhaps Hope wants a modern relationship. She doesn’t need a husband. if that’s true can Thomas accept that? Why is he in such a rush to be married? He’s been desperate for this marriage for years but Hope isn’t desperate. She’s not looking for a knight in shining armor.

I think you are right. Hope has either been married, in a relationship or fighting for a relationship with Liam most of her adult life. Hope may be wanting to take a little break to figure out what she really wants. I just wish she wouldn't have gotten involved with Thomas the way that she did.

Hope had years living in Milan on her own to figure out who she was and what she wanted.

Kim Matula's last appearance as Hope was in December of 2014. Annika Noelle's first appearance as Hope was in January of 2018. That was a little over 3 years in real life that Hope was in Milan. In soap years it would be even less. That is not a long time when Hope had been in relationships her entire adult life and mostly with Liam involved going back and forth with her and Steffy. I can see where Hope would want to step back and have a little fun before settling down with someone again. I just wish it wasn't Thomas that she was having fun with.

Hope and Steffy didn't even share the screen for about 5 years. So, not sure how she's spent much of her adult life with Liam going back and forth between her and Steffy. Add to that the past 5 years in which Liam has been with Hope, well Hope and Thomas that is.

The point that I was trying to make is Hope has been in a serious relationship most of her adult life. Maybe she needs a break to just have fun for a while until she decides what she wants out of a relationship at this time in her life.

She did that with Wyatt. She needs to stop using men as fun tools when they tell her they want more.
