Steffy and Thomas have been pretty determined so see their parents reunited and pretty biting towards Brooke. I don't think there's an appreciation for their perspective. They were young teenagers when their parents got back together after Taylor's second resurrection and then all of a sudden it was all blown up again. Ridge left their family to go chasing after Brooke. That leaves an impression on a child even if they're in their early teens. It's no wonder they despise Brooke or that want their family reunited.

They weren't in their "early teens" anymore when Ridge left Taylor, they were 16 and 18! The twins were going to boarding school in Europe, living their own lives, while Thomas was already a married man himself.
And if you think they deserve to be cut some slack, then why doesn't Brooke deserve the same thing when the show has clearly established that her tendency to fall in love with inappropriate men is rooted in her daddy issues caused by the trauma of Stephen completely abandoning her family when she was only 14.
