Liam and Steffy aren't best friends?

Steffy asked Finn if Liam had any idea about Thomas and Hope's changing attitudes. I thought Liam and Steffy were BFFs who talked about everything and supported each other through everything? How can she not know how he feels about it?

Well, both fan bases wanted Hope and Steffy in separate stories, no? Now Steffy has drama with Sheila/Finn on 1 side and Brooke/Ridge/Taylor on the other side. Hope has her own big story with Liam/Thomas/Douglas. Liam Steffy aren't in the same story. Their friendship can be revisited later for plots purposes but now it'd be useless... and alienate everyone again.

I don't really know what fanbases wanted. I'm just talking about the storyline.
