Liam and Steffy aren't best friends?

Steffy asked Finn if Liam had any idea about Thomas and Hope's changing attitudes. I thought Liam and Steffy were BFFs who talked about everything and supported each other through everything? How can she not know how he feels about it?

I don't know but Steffy is giving me weird vibes about Thomas and Hope. She was always totally disgusted with this idea until now.

She almost sounds like she is secretely hoping Thomas will pursue her and win. Why even tell her brother that Hope sees him differently. Why is she suddenly worrying about how Liam feels? The spoilers made it sound like Steffy would put him in his place and remind him of his lie about Beth and how Hope could never want him. Instead she is marvelling at Hope Thomas getting along and the things Hope has been saying about him. Definitely a new attitude here. Maybe she just wants her brother to be happy, or she has something else in mind. Not saying he has an agenda (not yet) but that's a drastic change of attitude.

I agree, but I'm of two minds about it.

On the one hand, I was kind of proud of Steffy for the forceful way she tried to snap Thomas out of it. But then, with Finn, I did get those vibes you state above, and it did make me wonder if Steam/Leffy might be on the horizon after all this "happiness" the holiday brings.

Or, as Hopeyougogirl says, it might be just a tease. She's been right so far.

I do think Steffy needs to follow it up by telling her parents, but I don't think the writers have this in mind. Do you?
