Hope said a lot of words but didn't really say much at all somehow. I don't think think there was a concrete reason actually stated. She talked about the whole "walking on the wild side" theory that's largely been implanted in her head. The only two things that she did say that were crystal clear is that she's sure about her feelings for Thomas and that she loves (present tense) Thomas.

She said she loved Tom....but, she is now reflecting on everything and that her mother had made a statement when she saw the ring around Hope's neck, that Hope today said was true. Brooke told Hope she thought Hope was was just reacting when she took up with Tom...and Hope said Finn said the same thing...and Hope said there was truth in it. That she did not want to be like her mom, and that Tom represented a one woman man...then she said....she also knew that she was being rebellious and taking a walk on the wild side. Her words to Liam at the end said more than her saying she loves Tom. She talked about how she and Liam were on the same page, and who knows what the future holds for either of them....and she looked at him in a way that said...."she was just waiting for him to admit he was flawed for thinking he needed a woman in his life at al times. We could say the exact same thing about Hope, she waited an hour after being dumped to go and drop her pants for Tom....Hope has the same issue as Liam, she does not want to be alone for one minute.

Bottom line...Hope said today she does love Tom and they were clicking right up until the last moment, but she really does not know why she could not accept, but she is not saying she would do it any different if she got a do over. Hope also was trying to pry into Liam's private life and find out if there was someone.....and she looked relieved when he indicated there was not, nor did it want anyone right now.
