Hope said a lot of words but didn't really say much at all somehow. I don't think think there was a concrete reason actually stated. She talked about the whole "walking on the wild side" theory that's largely been implanted in her head. The only two things that she did say that were crystal clear is that she's sure about her feelings for Thomas and that she loves (present tense) Thomas.

Just NOT love the devil enough to want to marry him..and still NO pining for him at all. And the whole walking on the wild side thing was actually "implanted" in her head through her own creepy fantasies in the first place..she woke up one day and suddenly there it was.. :drunk
