Hope said a lot of words but didn't really say much at all somehow. I don't think think there was a concrete reason actually stated. She talked about the whole "walking on the wild side" theory that's largely been implanted in her head. The only two things that she did say that were crystal clear is that she's sure about her feelings for Thomas and that she loves (present tense) Thomas.

Hope is nothing if not a cheater and obfuscator and gaslighter. Her words mean nothing to me after she's spent so much time backing and forthing and evading. Yeah, she doesn't "love" Thomas any differently than she did when she was telling him that it had to stay in Rome. She still won't accept why she won't marry Mr. Perfect. SMH

She's still blaming Brooke for her actions. And by "blame," I mean making her mom the reason she does things.

For me, all the writers tried to do wit this conversation is tick off all the things they want viewers to accept so they can move on from Thope and "both sides" it so they can move on. They want to try to whitewash Hope some, but it's not working. She's as dirty as ever if not more for me. I detest her more with every scene and this is coming from someone who she was my 3rd fave behind Brooke and Sheila.

The writers are in quicksand with me and my view of Hope due to this Thope romance. They might have even gotten me to feel better about Thomas than I do about her. And that means I am opposed to Thope, not for her sake anymore, but for his! She is truly delusional to think she didn't use him.

This is the dumbest plot in romantic history if this is just a stepping stone to going RIGHT BACK where we were a month ago.
