Actually Taylor was not allowed to drive because her licence was suspended because she already had been caught driving drunk. This evening she had drunk alcohol again and still she got in a car, driving without a license and under the influence...

Yes and she confessed all that, took responsibility for everything, including Hector who tampered with the evidences while she was in shock.
She went to jail, faced a jury.
Case closed

Taylor only confessed about killing Darla after Hope outed her to Aly. Taylor could have called Ridge or someone else to help Phoebe that night. Taylor had no business behind a wheel of a car after drinking and with a suspended license.
