Steffy told Taylor that Finn is her soulmate

Taylor said Liam was Steffy's true love and that's why she called him her "sweet husband ".

That is false. The actual line was Steffy has "true love for Liam." NOT that he was her true love. There is a big difference in that. Plus, if we carry weight in what Taylor has said, she said, Finn was the love of Steffy's life which has more significance.

Plus, she talked about how Steffy was having is a survival reaction, which helps people deal with the unthinkable. And I think on some levels, steffy knows finn died. and "Which would explain this response."

Ridge even said that the memory loss has "nothing to do with liam. "it seems to me that this is about finn and how much she loved him."

Even Bridget, Steffy's doctor, said "I’ve dealt with cases where the trauma of the event was so devastating, the patient blocks it out entirely."

The narrative is that the amnesia was strictly about Finn, and the traumatic event that his "death" had caused her.

It's interesting that the writers used Liam in that story, though. Finn's death was more about Liam than Finn.

If you haven't noticed in the past decade, TPTB seems to throw Liam in MANY stories where he does not belong. It is a recurring pattern on the show.

Well, in this one they gave him a bigger role than Finn, complete with flashbacks of him and Steffy.

Yup, one sided flashbacks. Liam was the only who reflected on his past with Steffy. Steffy has only been having flashbacks of Steffy and Finn. Make of it what you will.

I'm talking about the writing, though. I don't think they made those scenes about Liam for no reason. We had days and days of him posing as Steffy's sweet husband with Taylor taunting Hope about how Steffy needed him and he was going to be there for her, along with her "suppressed true love" comment. And then more days of him visiting her house so she wouldn't be alone, even though Taylor lived there. And then her begging him to stay overnight. In the dialogue they may have explained it as traumatic amnesia but the fact is, they wrote it this way so that viewers would have a reaction to it. It wasn't just filler. I do realize there will be different interpretations.

It doesn't seem to me that they've been writing a Sinn story. Maybe they will. I hope they do. As a Lope fan it would be nice for the two couples to stay out of each other's stories for a while. I just don't see them as invested in Finn enough to give him something juicy. He's pretty much one note. I hope that changes.
