They said vows and called each other husband and wife. It was just a formality so I guess formally Taylor is still a saint that didn't have sex with a drugged vulnerable man that didn't feel like he was single. Brooke didn't even know that their marriage wasn't legal at that point. I know Ridge knew, but I don't remember if Taylor even knew it.

All 3 of them knew, Taylor, Ridge and also Brooke. Stephanie was the first one who found out. She told Taylor about it and predicted that Brooke and Ridge would soon be at odds about Rick, which would be the perfect moment to let them know about the invalid marriage license, because then Taylor could take advantage and pounce on a vulnerable Ridge. But Taylor couldn't even wait for them being at odds and already blurted the news out just a week later, begging Ridge to come back to her. That was in May 2009. Ridge only moved into the guesthouse and slept with Taylor a month later.
