...when he said:

There are people in Hope's life, and you know who I'm talking about, who are just waiting for Deacon to slip up so that they can pounce and give Hope the old "I told you so."...?

You can never know for sure with these kind of dialogs. Especially from Liam.

Just the other day on another board, some posters were still debating this.

Steffy: You're still in love with Ivy. That's the only reason any of this makes sense. You haven't gotten over her.

Liam: No, Steffy. There is one woman I've never gotten over, and her name is not Ivy.

Who was Liam referring to? Hope wasn't even on canvas (she left in December 2014 and that episode aired in January 2016). So, was he referring to Hope or Steffy? Someone asked SC in a live chat, and even he said he doesn't know, it's left to interpretations.

That dialogue was meant to be open to interpretation. But there was no doubt about how many possible women Liam was referring to. "One woman" means one woman. Hope or Steffy.

If Liam's words last week were meant to be ambiguous then they wouldn't have had him say "people" and "they". It was clearly meant to be more than one person he was referring to, IMO. I guess it could be open to interpretation WHICH people he was talking about but I can't think of any other characters it might be about.

"I love you more than anything or anyone in the world. And I want you by my side for the rest of my life."

"You're the love of my life."

Liam to Hope. Debate over.
