Why was it necessary for Steffy to try to seduce Liam? Because she wanted what Hope has?

That makes it okay? Doesn't make it okay when Brooke follows her heart.

Steffy didn't just follow her heart. She followed something else. She wanted Hope's boyfriend and wanted Jackie's husband and she wanted Katie's husband just to want Hope's fiance few hours later. She changed her feelings so fast because it was never about love, but just to win with a Logan or simply with another woman. She also didn't just pursue them by using her body or by expressing her love. She schemed and she used Bill's schemes with pleasure and without remorse.

Just like Brooke stopped pursuing Ridge when she learnt about the twins pregnancy then pursued Thorne …
Or when she ditched Ridge in Australia and decided to seduce Taylor’s fiancé … a man she had dumped for Ridge …
