He's so much more at ease around Taylor. She brings peace and calm to his life as opposed to Brooke's chaos and he's made it clear that peace is what he's looking for at this stage of his life. Also early 30s isn't middle-aged lol!

It's meant sarcastically for those who think Eric is too old to even be alive and Brooke should sit in a rocking chair all day with a shawl around her sipping tea and doing crosswords to stay sane. I think Thomas and Steffy are mid-30s, but I know that's still young. Once they reach 40-45, they will probably be at the mid-point of their lives. And on this show, probably grandparents!
