Two Marriages on Life Support

Both Ridge and Brooke's marriage as well as Eric and Quinn's are hanging on by a legal document thread. Ridge and Quinn have obvious feelings for other people. In both instances they would clearly rather be with Taylor and Carter respectively but they're staying with Brooke and Eric out of obligation, simply because their married. In Ridge's case he wants to make his marriage work; in Quinn's case she believes Eric is faithful and wants to be loyal to him. Neither of them are fully invested in their marriages. Ultimately both of these marriages are doomed. I'm all for honoring your vows but if the marriage isn't working anymore staying in it just stay in it ain't worth it. Ironically the only person who's gonna wind up hurt is Brooke because Eric seems to into his simple ass sidepiece.

I don't see Ridge clearly wanting to be with Taylor at all, she is constantly telling him she loves him and he has yet to tell her the same. He did not go to Eric's to choose between the 2 women, he went to Eric's to decide if he wants to continue being married to Brooke. Taylor has just got in her head that if he does not want to be with Brooke, he wants to be with HER. Maybe he would want to be alone. And Brooke pointed it out calmly yesterday that Ridge was at Eric's to decide about his life, and Brooke can see that Taylor is delusional and thinks that Ridge is making a decision about being with Taylor. LOL

Eric is also staying with Quinn out of obligation too. He no longer wants her in any way, except he feels he owes her. IA the Queric marriage is doomed. Bridge is not. And we know that Ridge goes home in the next 2 weeks. Ridge has said over and over that Brooke is his soul, his passion, the love of his life. His ego is still bruised over her defending Deacon when they were fighting. That is on Ridge and his lack of maturity. Nothing more. Taylor tossed herself into the mix in a desperate bid to when him back. She saw he was vulnerable, her kids saw he was vulnerable and they pounced. Ridge is not choosing Taylor, and the beauty of this SL is, even if he ends up with her after he chooses Brooke, it will be because of some dumb reason, like he sees Deacon talking to Brooke, or Brooke finds out he is lying a keeping a secret from her that involves her. Taylor will once again have him by default, which means, she will not keep him long. LOL
