The show has ignored two things about Tridges

Thomas DID take advantage of Caroline. She was semiconscious and unable to consent when he crawled into bed. The fact that they dated for a cup of coffee before Caroline married Rick didn't give him the right to involve himself in his father's relationship. Thomas was 100% in the wrong.


just like Ridge did when he hopped in bed with Brooke so he is hardly one to judge

And also when he slept with Caroline Sr. while she was married to Thorne. History repeats itself on this show. That is for certain. As I recall, Caroline had been drinking and thought it was Thorne. Although I believe she admitted at some point she really did know it was Ridge. Hard to keep this all straight.
