I think Thomas was a means to an end for Taylor. With his birth she got what she wanted.. Ridge could deep down resent Thomas because he is the reason he dumped Brooke. He conveniently wanted his son to have a 2 parent home (Disgusting since he said RJ was young enough he wouldn't know the difference. That is the day I started hating that hypocritical creep). I keep going back to the convo where Ridge said that he should have followed his heart instead of picking the safe choice,
