I think it’s because they want Steffy to be badass and like her grandmother. I think she honestly believes she’s doing right by her family.

Doesn’t make the actions right but that’s how soap characters are.

And other than the silly “war” story she hasn’t done anything against the Logans.

Just not gonna buy the excuse that she's doing right by her family either given the fact she never told HER BROTHER the truth about Bill's despicable lie about Caroline dying..she chose to side with Bill instead of her own brother. And it wasn't just the Logans she bullied, she's done plenty nasty deeds to other women as well.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
