Steffy wanted her parents back together. It wasn’t right, how she acted, but she did it out of love for her mother. She also could’ve let the wedding go through and didn’t.
She couldn’t foresee then that Liam would come after her.
I assume she isn’t telling Finn so as not to upset him.
I would like her to tell him, but I don’t want him to turn on her for it since it was Liam’s doing.

Except, insufferable hypocrite Steffy always expected Finn to behave all loyal to her only and be totally honest with her, yet she herself couldn't do the same and tell him the truth about her 2 cheating kisses? What a disgusting low life Steffy is! With her do as I say and not as I do superior attitude and smug face.
And doing evil/scheming "out of love" ain't a good excuse in my book either..since when is starting a war a good thing?!
