A One-Woman Reminder

During her rambling session where she mostly said nothing, Hope mentioned being pulled towards a "one-woman man" and then looked towards Liam. It was another subtle reminder that the underlying problem that ended Lope is that Liam isn't a one-woman man. That's irreparable. That can't be fixed. A man who openly admitted to being incapable of being a one-woman man can't magically turn into one nor can he expect a woman he put through the ringer to believe him if he tries to sell the idea.

Of course he can. That's what the purpose of that dialogue was, IMO. Liam is doing soul searching and realizing that what he was doing was not okay. His waffling days are over.

The writers can change anything and they can change any character with a single line of dialogue. In this case, they reset Lope with several lines, over the course of the episode. And it ended with the two of them saying they're going to focus on their kids and the line, with Hope saying...Who knows where we'll end up.

Lope has been reset. And they'll be together again, when the time is right.

"You're the love of my life."

Liam to Hope. Debate over.
