The twist being hope doesn't give a damn. The twist being hope can't even claim to be in love with the man. At least Brooke thought she was in love with deacon.

Not in the beginning though. She was reacting to Thorne ending their marriage and Ridge saying he wasn't interested. Deacon and Brooke started out with just steaming hot sex. The feelings came later. And, then the feelings died.

I don't recall it being like that. I recall her having feelings for him after they spent all that time talking and she convinced him to leave bridget. So she did sleep with him because she thought he was going to leave Bridget the next day. I don't recall her telling Deacon I don't love you but I want to screw you.

I don't think they said anything. Didn't he leave and then suddenly show up in her bedroom? It's been so long ago, I can't remember the details. But, I do not remember Brooke feeling anything other than sexual attraction with him at the beginning.

Yes, they got drunk together, he left and she went upstairs to go to bed. Deacon let himself back in and went to her room and they had sex. There were no declarations of love at that point.

Okay. Thanks. I still miffed about that story even after all these years.

I tried to block it out. It was hard being a Brooke fan through that. I was so grossed out by it, but KKL and SK did have some chemistry!

I just couldn't see beyond the ick. Much like Hope and Thomas now.
