The twist being hope doesn't give a damn. The twist being hope can't even claim to be in love with the man. At least Brooke thought she was in love with deacon.

Not in the beginning though. She was reacting to Thorne ending their marriage and Ridge saying he wasn't interested. Deacon and Brooke started out with just steaming hot sex. The feelings came later. And, then the feelings died.

I don't recall it being like that. I recall her having feelings for him after they spent all that time talking and she convinced him to leave bridget. So she did sleep with him because she thought he was going to leave Bridget the next day. I don't recall her telling Deacon I don't love you but I want to screw you.

I don't think they said anything. Didn't he leave and then suddenly show up in her bedroom? It's been so long ago, I can't remember the details. But, I do not remember Brooke feeling anything other than sexual attraction with him at the beginning.

I don't know. I'd have to watch it again. but the feelings I have for it are different, but you're right it's been a long time. You could be right. I was a lot younger, as we both were, watching it. May see something completely different if I watched it tonight.
