Why Thope is worse than Breacon to me

The feelings I have about Thope are worse than the feelings I had about Breacon. Brooke and Deacon falling into bed was a shock. There was no buildup. It was all lust. I couldn’t imagined the show writing this story for Brooke who already had her fair share of scandals. I thought Brooke will never live this one down. She’s made the worst mistake of her life but that’s the theme of Brooke’s made up life. Yet, Thope feels worse to me. The show is throwing too many characters under the bus to build what apparently someone believes is a great love story and I think they are trying too hard to sell the story of how much Thomas has changed and how much of a struggle this love connection is for Hope. As such, Hope comes off as a deceptive, cold hearted person who is lying to everyone including herself. I find Thope tedious. It may have been better for them to have had a one night stand and watch Hope agonizing over the fallout rather than agonizing before the mistake.
