No, it was never shown on screen that he asked Brooke about making that call. She still doesn't know the reason he left her is because he believes that she made that call. :neutral She kept asking him what did she do wrong? Why did he leave her for Taylor. He refuse to say the real reason. She has no clue.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
