Brooke and Liam and Hope and Thomas

I get the distinct impression that the writers are trying to set up Thomas and Hope as a couple. It makes my skin crawl and stomach turn to think about but Hope has been very understanding with Thomas. It's more than being civil for Douglas. She believes the creep has changed and has taken his side against her husband and mother. I've already stated that Brooke's despair over losing Ridge and Liam's frustration with Hope taking Thomas side will lead to them having an affair or at least a one night stand. Hope will find out about it and turn to Thomas. That's the only way I can see that happening as she would never knowingly cheat on Liam. It's certainly juicy drama.

None of that will happen. Hope would not betray Liam and she's not interested in Thomas anyway.

Liam and Brooke? KKL would never do a SL like that again.

But the actors and actresses don't get to decide the storylines. I doubt MA wanted Thomas to be the villain again in this storyline. I doubt SC wanted Liam to mistake his wife with a mannequin and sleep with Steffy. I doubt TK wants to play a jerk with a divided heart for the umpteenth time. I doubt JMW wants to play a bitter character who plots to reunite her parents and whines non-stop. I doubt KKL and KA would pick Ridge for Brooke and Taylor if they could choose a love interest. If Bell decides Brooke and Liam will have an affair, there is nothing they can do against it. They can always leave like RS, but I doubt they would do that.

I still don't think these Briam theories are happening, though. Even if they have a lot of scenes together, I don't see any romantic vibes between them. I'll be shocked if something like that happens.
I'm not so sure about Thomas and Hope on the other hand. MA still never had a story without Hope in 3 years and a half. They have a child together and the 2 actors are here to stay. Maybe one day Bell will decide to write a story for them after all. Maybe, maybe not, but there is a true possibility.

Bell decides what the actors' stories will be but that doesn't mean the actors can't offer input. Just recently TK said in an article that he told Bell that banning Deacon from her home had to be Brooke's decision. I assume he didn't want his character to look like a bully.
