I may repeat myself, but THIS only should disqualify Tridge

And we're supposed to believe what Taylor says? She is a pathological liar like her son. This is the same woman who lied for 12 years about her affair with James and lied for months about her role in Darla's death.

What she says is irrelevant, only actions matter.
Ridge was in jail for 2 weeks, between March 21 and April 4. It was a little less in real time but there were still several days. It was also clearly said in the dialogs that Ridge spent "days" in jail until Liam convinded Bill to change his version.

It only takes half an hour to go to the police and confess. Taylor didn't even have to fly back to LA when she heard about Ridge. There are enough police stations in Paris or whoever she was at the time. She had days to make the right decision and she did not. She let Ridge be humiliated and accused of murder in front RJ and Brooke.

She only returned to L.A when she learnt Bill left the hospital and after Ridge was released. Apparently she came back to finish the job. Didn't she pick up the gun again and try to finish what she started, but Steffy walked in at the very last second and stopped her? If Steffy never showed up, I think it was made pretty clear Taylor would have shot him again. She only changed her mind after Steffy barged in and informed her Bill didn't "take advantage" of her.

Nothing says that you have to believe Taylor but the dialogue says she didn't come back to finish the job. Or that she waited until Ridge was released from jail because she was already on her way back. Taylor was not holding a gun to Bill when Steffy walked in so there was nothing for her to stop. .
