My thought is that the writers think that a recast of Taylor's character will give us a fresh take on Tridge. But just as you said, there is too much water under that bridge (pun intended). I am a Bridge fan although I don't agree with everything either. I feel that Bridge deserves some peace. For years the manipulation of outside influences kept them apart. Steffy constantly points out Brooke's shortcomings while totally ignoring her father's misdeeds. I wish Bridge would either get together and stay together or completely separate with Brooke moving on happily and Ridge being miserable for a change without her. I really want a new man for Brooke if they are going to destroy Bridge.
