The two adoptions can´t even be compared...Beth was stolen from Hope, bought by Taylor, the whole adoption was illegal and a case of baby-trafficking.

But in Steffy’s mind the adoption was legit and HER feelings were real

Douglas was not stolen, not sold, Tom had him when he did co-parent with Caroline...that he didn´t have him from birth on was Ridge´s fault who let everybody believe Douglas was his son and Tom´s brother.

Douglas doesn’t remember that

It was Tom´s wish that Hope should be Douglas mother, he taught him to call her "Mommy Hope", he faked Caroline´s letter and drawings "by Douglas" to get his wish.
So when Tom signed over custody to Hope it was what Tom wanted.

And now he wants his son back

Totally different in any way.

Legally yes. But Steffy loved Pheobe as much as Hope loves Douglas. Hope disregarded Steffy s feelings now she may realise what she did. But I doubt it as Hope is incapable of empathy and really self absorbed as she prove yesterday
She prove that she only cares about herself throwing herself at Liam when he was grieving TWICE. His child and his marriage.
