Actually she doesn´t need any BS excuse for not being ready to get married.
She can just say I need some more time, I just got divorced a few weeks ago...this is no BS, it would be very understandable that a woman whose divorce just got final around New Year (in November the papers were not even filed) is not already planning her next wedding.
And two weeks before he walked out Thomas had told her "we have all the time in the world", how should she have been prepared this to mean two weeks only?

She apparently has already given the BS excuse of not being ready, needing more time, blah, blah, blah to Thomas since next week says she reveals the REAL reason.
