Naming Eric’s ailment is important

I wonder how many viewers have looked up diseases that cause people to cough up blood? I know soaps are not all that serious and details don’t matter but I think in this case getting a diagnosis is important. Eric is a legacy character. He’s the patriarch not only of the main family but in many ways of the show itself and I think viewers should get a diagnosis. Is that really too much to ask? I would keep it simple and make it a very rare form of TB. While it is true that toxins and chemicals in fabrics can cause harm, would not others expose to the same fabric become sick. The only other option is that someone is poisoning Eric. That’s illogical to me, but who knows? I started thinking about that possibility after watching Eve’s sister on YR after all these years. That story came out of the blue, so who knows what’s in store for us related to this story. I can’t imagine there’s a villain behind Eric’s illness but I don’t know what to think. There was a spumor that someone would is vehemently opposed to Donna and Eric’s relationship. I thought that was going to be her father, but that was not the case so I don’t know if there’s any connection to that. I guess I think it’s time to Name that Cause.

All of this is corect and that is why I don't think he is dying. A legacy character woud not die from an unnamed illness.
The one difference with the Eve story is while we had no idea who Claire was we have known from the beginning she was up to no good. Luna would be the obvious guess just because she is new and her appearance coincided with his illness but that seems ike a huge stretch.

I remember that storyline spoiler with Donna/Eric but it was quite a long time ago I had assumed the story was dropped for one reason or another.
