but couldn’t Steffy bring charges again. Obviously not murder but attempted or reckless endangerment, something to keep her behind bars for awhile. I don’t think double jeopardy would apply because she wasn’t found not guilty so couldn’t Steffy change her testimony? Again it would not help with the upcoming s/l but I’m curious.

I'm a lawyer, a prosecutor, and yes charges can be reinstituted as long as they haven't prescribed. Attempt murder in my state has 6 yrs before time to institute charges has run...and murder has NO prescriptive period!
