Why I think this is a Lope story, not a Thope story.

Can’t buy that. This is imo an evolution of Hope. If not, the entire dialogue yesterday was for naught and a waste of airtime. The situation with liam is never going to change, he will always have the connection to steffy, so Hope will circle back to the same situation she just declared freedom from?

Actually, yes, she will.

For example, I have never been more disappointed in my life than when Steffy declared her freedom and went right back to chasing Liam. Another example, Taylor doesn't need a man but chases Ridge. Another example, Ridge and Taylor put themselves first but devolve into war over Ridge.

For me, it's not about Hope evolving but whining because she's under the mistaken impression that right at that very moment, Liam is at Steffy's house professing love. Hope said it to Thomas before sex. She said Liam had "all but" told her this and then "Left the house" and she told Brooke the same thing.

She is running off Steffy fumes. That's it.
