Why I think this is a Lope story, not a Thope story.

I think there was always going to be more to the story than just Hope cheating on Liam.

It makes perfect sense to me that the story would now shift to Liam's part in the end of his and Hope's marriage. The first part of the story was about Hope and her disturbing fantasies, her trying to fight the feelings for Thomas, and the shock of her kissing Thomas in Rome. Now that the shock of all that is over, we get to the part of the story where we learn how we got to this point.

I don't know why they would write a story about the end of Lope that didn't include Liam's divided heart and feelings for Steffy. Liam's pattern of hurting Hope with Steffy has been one of the major themes of their history on the show. The scenes between Liam and Wyatt yesterday convinced me that Liam does, indeed, keep bringing Steffy into the marriage. When Wyatt challenged him, he couldn't even keep a straight face when he was trying to deny it.

I don't believe what we are seeing is a 'Hope is a cheater and a liar who just wants sex from Thomas' story. And it's not a 'Thomas is the better man for Hope' story, either. It's Lope angst, IMO. They are both to blame for their marriage ending. And once they recognize that, there is hope for their relationship. Of course, a lot will happen between now and then, but I believe we will see Hope and Liam back together when all is said and done.

I completely agree with this. I thought they had both grown up but it's apparent that wasn't so. They still do need to do a lot of growing up. I think this is the "unique" story Bell talked about last year. I am not seeing any romance with Thomas here.

Agree. And it's a way more interesting way to break them up than to have one of them cheating for no reason. And I do believe it was time to break them up. They've been together and happily married for a long time now. This story can also be the vehicle that redeems Thomas. Let's see if he starts scheming to keep Hope with him.
